To celebrate 10 years since the show began, Billy Elliot the musical is embarking on its first ever tour around the UK and one of their stops along the way is at the prestigious Edinburgh Playhouse.
Set in the mid 1980’s, during the miners’ strike, this is story of a boy who had a passion for dance and ballet In particular. It shows the struggle he had to endure to be accepted by his peers and family members for swapping the boxing ring for ballet class. It shows how the path he took inevitably changed his life forever.

Getting to the venue from your suite takes no time at all. The Playhouse is only 0.7 miles from our location and is a short walk along North Bridge and Leith St. You can also get the 8 bus northbound from South Bridge or an Uber which has an estimated rate of £3-5 (surcharges apply based on time of day).
