Here is what you should know about Oktoberfest in Edinburgh this Autumn
- Event: Edinburgh Oktoberfest
- Date: 30th October – 3rd November
- Venue: West Princes Street Gardens (Red Square)
While we don’t like the idea of Edinburgh being invaded by any country, it’s always a pleasure to have Bavaria take over prime real estate in Prince’s Street Gardens for the first weekend of November. Giving everyone a chance to lift their spirits as another bitterly cold Edinburgh winter makes its way across the Forth, Edinburgh Oktoberfest is back in town.
With five days pencilled in the calendar, come along and get yourself an absurdly large beer, freshly baked pretzel and a grilled sausage, it’s going to be another grandiose Oktoberfest, and we can’t wait.
Are you coming to Edinburgh for Oktoberfest, or happen to be staying with us at Fraser Suites Edinburgh and want to know all the essential information about this year’s proceedings? Here is everything you need to know about Edinburgh Oktoberfest 2019.

Anything I need to know about the venue before going?
Even though it is taking place in November, the beer tent is indoors and heated so you won’t have to worry about having a chill or needing to wrap up as though you’ll be outside all night. The cloakroom when you go in charges £2 per item.
They’ll also be serving vegetarian food if you would prefer not to eat bratwurst or schnitzel.

On the last day, which is Sunday, the experience is geared towards creating a family friendly version of Oktoberfest with a special Sunday lunch and family focussed entertainment taking place. Every other day has a strict 18 and above age limit in place.
How can I get to Oktoberfest from Fraser Suites?
We are less than 400m away from all the action, and it couldn’t be any easier to get down to the tent at West Prince’s St Gardens. You need to walk out the hotel doors and down the mound. The entrance to Oktoberfest is in the west gardens so stay left when walking down.
